A love for Brazil and the marriage to a man from Joinville were sufficient for Elisabeth Schneider to move away from her
birthplace in Weisbaden, Germany, and set down her roots here.

The beach

Sto. Antonio de Lisboa is one of those places where one can escape from the stress and agitation of day to day living. The atmosphere of this small village with its vestiges of Azorean colonization, its calm beaches and shady trees is an irresistible invitation to watch a spectacular sunset while walking along the beach or tasting the local culinary delights in one of the many bars and restaurants.
