Terms and Conditions

Daily rate includes:

Promotions and holiday packages festival dates on request.

• accommodation;
• homemade European style breakfast;
• daily room cleaning service;
• extra towels for beach/swimming pool;
• parking.

Check-in:

Check-in from 14:00 to 9:30. Depending on availability, earlier check-in is possible at no extra charge. Should the guest not be able to check-in before 9:30, they must consult management before making their reservation.

Check-out:

• Check-out is between 07:00 and 11:00, effective from when the room or chalet key is returned. We count on your cooperation in enabling us to attend to other guests who are beginning their stay with us;
• If necessary, you can request a courtesy extension of 1 hour at reception. (up to midday). Should you wish to check-out after midday, we regret to inform that a half day will be charged with check-out at 17:00. After this period a full day will be charged. And, if accommodation is available we will be more than happy for you to extend your stay with us;
• When you arrive at the Eco Lodge, your comfort and well being depend on the following information. We hope you visit us again soon.

Extras:

• The following services are not included in the daily rate: telephone, even for locals, and items from the minibar;
• All prices and programs are subject to change;
• Bath towels will be changed every second day and those for pool/beach every 3 days;
• Bed linen will be changed every 3 days;
• More frequent changes can be requested at reception at an extra charge of R3,00;
• Improper use of bed linen or towels i.e. for cleaning shoes, removing makeup etc will result in a 10% fine.

Children:

• children under the age of 2, accompanied by parents, will not be charged when occupying the same room;
• two children, under the age of 5, accompanied by parents, will be charged one daily rate only when occupying a chalet;
• a BOOKING is only confirmed upon receipt of deposit;
• alterations: any changes to already confirmed bookings will depend on availability at the Eco Lodge as well as to the contract in effect;

Penalties for individuals cancellation:

• Cancellation of contract from 30 to 60 days prior to the stay will incur a fine of 20% of the deposit;
• cancellation of contract from 15 to 10 days prior to the stay will incur a fine of 50% of the deposit;
• Cancellation of contract from 09 to 0 days prior to the stay will incur a fine of 100% of the deposit;
• Cancellation of contract within the duration of the stay equal to a 100% fine of the value of the package.

Responsibilities:

The Eco Lodge Quinta da Bela Vista has the right to alter the contract, to remove or suspend guests without prior notice, should the actions of such person(s) threaten the health, well being, and the safety of guests / visitors to the Eco Lodge.

In order to ensure a peaceful and unforgettable stay, the Eco Lodge Quinta da Bela Vista, recommends that the following terms be observed:

• Parents, or those responsible, should accompany their children on walks along trails and through the woodlands, gardens and dense forest;
• On trails, whether in dense forest or not, always wear shoes, in order to avoid bites from snakes or other venomous animals or scratches from prickly plants;
• Respect the timetables for outings announced on the notice board at the café entrance, when these outings involve a guide from the Eco Lodge;
• Take good care of the children under your responsibility and keep them under supervision and care of a trustworthy person throughout their stay;
• Keep children away from dangerous areas, such as the baggage elevator by the rooms and appliances such as toasters, coffee machines etc;
• Do not let unaccompanied children visit places such as the pool, hammock area or trails;
• Do not feed, frighten, or provoke wild animals;
• Do not climb the trees;
• Do not light fires or throw cigarette butts into the woods, gardens, trails or any others areas around the Eco Lodge;
• Do not use fireworks;
• Do not remove plants, remember, you are in an environmental conservation area;
• Everyone must be aware of the above recommendations and prohibitions, and to pass them on, together with other safety instructions issued by the Eco Lodge Quinta da Bela Vista Administration, to their dependents or family members.

Suggestions:

• After checking in we suggest you try the “health trail”, to start relaxing and to forget about the day to day stress. Immerse yourself in the silence and harmony of these beautiful surroundings. Breathe in the pure air and enjoy the spectacular views …a true paradise!!
• We kindly ask you to hand in the key by 11:00, so our team can leave the chalet/room in perfect order for the next guest.
